Schools plus is our flagship tutoring initiative and one of our realistic volunteering programmes, which allows Kingston students to assist students at all levels of education, from key stage 2 (KS2), to key stage 3 (KS3) to key stage 4 (KS4) then finally to A-levels, in a variety of subjects in schools all over London.

 

We had to move the project online and find alternate distribution methods due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We implemented an additional way in which students could participate before determining acceptable criteria for restarting tutoring in an online environment. 

 

Our volunteers were tasked with developing online tools to assist students who were studying at home. The resource themes relate to the needs shared by our community partners (schools) who receive the services and re-share them with children and young people. The examples of resources are: worksheets, presentations and videos.
